- LOOKING FOR BETATESTERS!
-
- Is there anyone interested in betatesting a CallerID software? If so,
- please note that it does NOT use any special hardware. Instead, it relies
- on the CallerID-function supported by many modern modems. For example, I
- have a PowerBit modem (aka InterTex), which when set to AT#CID=1 produces
- the following output;
-
- RING
-
- DATE = <date, if supported>
- TIME = <time, if supported>
- NMBR = <caller's number>
-
- RING
-
- ...El-CID, as my program is called, detects the 'NMBR = ' string sent by
- the modem, and displays the date, time (YOUR local date and time) and number
- of the caller in a small window. Here are some of the features of El-CID;
-
- * It's a commodity.
-
- * Uses OwnDevUnit.library (current beta-version requires it).
-
- * Uses BGUI.library.
-
- * Call logging.
-
- * Simple phonebook.
-
- * Localized date and time strings.
-
- * You may specify the device and unit using tooltypes.
-
- * The detection string may be changed.
-
- If you ARE interested in betatesting this software, drop me an e-mail at
- the address below. Do NOT reply in the newsgroup, as I might miss it if you
- do. Thanks for your time.
